Julie of thefrisky.com writes that even when division of labor in a household is mostly equal, it can feel like the person who does the cooking is working more. Why? Because their work creates the product of dinner, whereas cleaning doesn’t always have a visible and obvious result. This is especially true for those who equate cooking with love; the person who doesn’t cook can feel like they’re not expressing appreciation.
