Places To Propose In Los Angeles 101
1. Gondola Ride
Believe it or not, you don’t have to travel to Italy in order to sample a slice of classic romance. You can casually relax in a Gondola while a Gondolier does all the work for you and provides you with a song as you go along your way at a snail’s pace. There are many traditional Venetian Gondolas to hire where you can sail along the Southern Californian Waters. Indeed, there are specific Gondolas for marriage proposals where you can do fun things like hide the engagement ring inside a treasure trove or propose by sending a message in a bottle. This is the ideal way to have an hour’s relaxation away from the hustle bustle of the city and pop the question at the same time.
2. Huntingdon Library
This building is famous for holding treasures such as Gainsborough’s ‘The Blue Boy’ although the majority of visitors tend to become far more excited about the 120 acres of unspoiled botanical gardens which are truly amazing and appear to be endless. The gardens are very interesting and varied and include a subtropical garden, a Japanese garden, a jungle desert, lily ponds and a Chinese garden. This natural beauty creates the ideal environment to ask the big question while admiring the flora and fauna.
3. Santa Monica Pier
This is located west of Los Angeles and contains one of the most famous beaches in the USA. The pier was originally constructed in 1909 and is 1600 feet long. There’s a 22 mile cycle path which also doubles up as a walkway, and this makes the perfect setting for a romantic stroll. If you’re the adventurous type then why not propose while learning skills at the Trapeze school? Alternatively, tucked away under the well-known carousel building is the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium which is a fascinating place to visit. Or perhaps a leisurely ride on the famous carousel will allow you to build up the nerve to ask your girl the big question.
