1 Comment Featured Articles

Asking for a woman’s hand in marriage can be one of the most important things that a man will ever do in his lifetime and for this reason it’s essential to invest time and effort into planning the perfect proposal for the love of your life. Accompanying any proposal with a bunch of red roses is a very romantic gesture in itself, but what about carrying out a marriage proposal made up of a thousand roses? Peaked your interest? Here’s how to do it.

1. Choose the Perfect Venue

To add even more romantic sparkle to the proceedings, it’s important to choose a place that she will absolutely adore. Many guys pick the place that they first met their girlfriend, but if this was in the workplace or somewhere not easy to get to, it may not be practical. For that reason you could perhaps book a meal at her favourite restaurant or make a reservation at the establishment where you had your first meal together. If your budget will stretch you could take her to a place that she has always wanted to go but you could never previously afford.

If you want to make the proposal really grand and are not bothered whether family and friends are there, then a romantic weekend getaway could make for the perfect romantic proposal. Just a night or two in a hotel which is located near somewhere scenic will do the trick. You could then arrange a picnic in front of a waterfall or lake and start to produce the roses before dropping down on one knee.

If you do decide to stay locally though, you need to correspond with the owner of the venue to explain that you want several people to bring roses to your table as part of your proposal event. The owners may even agree to hire the place to you privately for a couple of hours to make things go more smoothly.

This guy chooses somewhere casual and familiar for his location setting, meaning that his partner was even more surprised when the roses started arriving!

2. Organizing Everything

Realistically, you probably know enough people to ask about presenting the rose bouquets but if you wanted to make things more of a surprise, strangers are the way to go. This may work better with a little forward planning. You should obviously ask close family members and friends to bring the last few bunches of roses but for the rest of the bouquet givers you could advertise on a social networking site or ask people at your workplace. Everyone goes goofy over romantic gestures so you will soon have enough willing participants.

When you visit the florists you should definitely inform them of your grand scheme so that they can order in enough stock for your special event. Get the florist to attach large signs (which you will pre-make) which say lovely things about your loved one. These signs will be brought on by members of your family at the end of the flower giving ceremony. You can say anything you want such as ‘I never grow tired of seeing your smile or hearing your voice, I want to be with you forever, will you marry me?’ Whatever words you decide to use though, try and make them personal to you both as a couple.

Once your beloved has a huge stack of bouquets and she has read your personal messages her heart will melt. You could of course, replicate the video clip above and make placards which you can hold up for her to read. Only you will know what will work best for you. You can then enjoy a delicious, romantic meal with all of your close friends and family around you.

This type of marriage proposal cannot fail to win the heart of any lady. It will make a fantastic anecdote which can be retold for years to come by future generations of your family. Every woman wants to feel special when they receive a proposal so what better way than to give her a marriage proposal with a thousand roses, a declaration of love and then a sparkling diamond ring.

I love this idea as a springboard for men. I love the Pros and Cons lists. For me, I prefer the quiet intimate moment we shared when CJ asked me to marry him, but I can see many women LOVING something like this. Thank you for sharing, Grace!
