A Study Of Speed Dating

No Comments Recommended Reads

Sean M. Horan, Ph.D starts off by addressing the negative stigma associated with speed dating in this interesting post. He explains that when he brings the topic up in class students usually respond harshly with criticism. He then addresses the benefits of speed dating by relating it to that of online dating, both parties are sharing the same goal. With that in mind, sometimes a great person can be met but at a bad time, with speed dating it is always the right time to meet someone. He explains the research behind this and how first impressions are made. The final advise is to smile and make eye contact, don’t try to get to know everything about someone in that short amount of time.
